4. Prilosec: Prilosec is available as a capsule and tablet.
5. Prevac: This is a stopALI. It is a combination medicine that takes effect by stopping acid from entering your stomach and providing acid at the site of heartburn which is difficult to digest or eat. Prilosec is usually taken 1-3 days a week.
It is not recommended to take this medicine if you are allergic to it, or to not take it
-It is advised to take Nexium for 4 days to prevent heartburn. -If you have not had any heartburn symptoms 3 days a week, you should tell your doctor about all your other medicines.
-Talk to your doctor if you have any any allergies, any other medicines, or any other health problems. This will help your doctor to choose the treatment and use of Nexium
-Prilosec tablets can cause side effects in some people including headaches and nausea. -If you experience any side effects such as stomach upset, feeling nauseous, diarrhoea, headaches, diarrhoea, or vomiting, stop taking Nexium and call your doctor straight away. You may have a rare side effect called serotonin syndrome which is very serious and causes you to feel very faint.
-If you experience any other symptoms like any/ all of them, tell your doctor right away. These symptoms are swollen ankles/ feet, dizziness, diarrhoea, headaches/ lack of appetite, swelling of the mouth, lips/ tongue and/ or pain or fever. These symptoms may be worse if you have heart disease, high cholesterol, diabetes, etc. These symptoms should stop and your doctor may perform some other tests to find out if you are suffering from something serious or if you are still having symptoms. -Your doctor may change your treatment plan if you experience any of these symptoms.
-Take this medicine on an empty stomach, with a full glass of water, when you are resting or standing. Do not take it more often than once every 4 hours or 1 hour or every 8 hours. Do not drive or perform other procedures in order to take this medicine. This medicine may make you dizzy (trouble falling or staying asleep).-Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. This medicine may make your esophagitis worse. Swallow it as a whole. Do not drink plenty of water ( Ensure a cool and dry place ) when you are using this medicine.
